This was my first restore of a petrol pump.
The pump was all disassembled, sandblasted, powder coated, and painted.
I chose to powder coat in matte black the old chrome parts, because here in Madeira Island, nobody does chrome work. The paint/decoration chosen was GALP.
To be honest, I didn't liked the final result, (decoration, and the parts that were powder coated) but I left the pump for almost 2 years as it was...
After this time, I already had on my mind how I wanted this pump to look like.
ESSO decoration was the chosen one, because I really like the Esso drops, and it was ideal for a 2 strokes pump. The black parts were sent to Lisbon to make the chrome work so the pump could have the original and vintage look.
So here's the final result. I hope you like it as much as me.
